Kew Gardens

The last time I went to Kew Gardens and properly experienced it, I was about 11 years old. It was part of a school trip and we had to draw lots of things that we saw. I remember drawing the Temperate House and it taking forever. I did visit Kew one other time after this a few years ago, but I didn't see much on account of it raining and raining and raining. I had travelled to Kew Gardens by boat but that's a whole other story! I had a really strong urge to go again, particularly over the past couple of years especially because of my recent love of all plants.

Every time I had a week off work in 2019, I planned to go to Kew and every time the weather was undesirable and I put it off and kept saying 'next time!' And now we have been blessed with a full week of sunshine so it was finally time. For about three days prior to actually going to Kew Gardens, I kept telling my sister how excited I was to be going. She was completely not excited and really didn't care that I had booked tickets online - even for the land train!

The wait was worth it. Oh, what a beautiful place. I could have spent forever there.
